Volunteer for Rare

Nature Guide Training
RARE Center offers a once-in-a-lifetime experience for those looking for a meaningful way to volunteer abroad. Our Nature Guide Training Courses rely on the talents of a team of volunteer teachers who travel to our project sites for six-month assignments.

Internships
Rare welcomes motivated, hardworking interns to support our communications, fundraising, and program-related work.

Internships are typically filled for the fall, spring and summer time periods. Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis. Although internships are structured based on current project needs and each intern's experience and skills, most last approximately two to four months, and they are typically based at Rare's headquarters in Arlington, Virginia (located just outside of Washington, D.C.). They can be full or part-time, and most internships are unpaid. Interns are encouraged to use their experience at Rare to earn college course credits or fulfill academic requirements.

To get started, contact us by , fax, or regular mail. Please tell us briefly about your background and interests and what type of internship experience you would like to have. Please include a copy of your resume.
